This course is aimed at providing development for those with some existing experience of parish management roles. Newsletter writers, secretaries, group leaders, co-ordinators, helpers - anyone who wants to find out how to do things better.
Themes covered:
handling correspondence, sharing information, basic IT skills, email, basic spreadsheet skills, presenting information for websites.
This is a practical course where examples of typical Parish tasks will be looked at and demonstrated. basic wordprocessing, financial presentations and communication and useful techniques will be shown. There will be ample opportunity to practice and ask questions in the workshop format. The aim is to enable you to improve your efficiency and productivity, by learning how to take advantage of the potential of technology. Basic computer experience helpful, but a determination to do it better is more important.
